The renowned manifesto-collection of the so-called Radical Design — a design movement that emerged in Italy during the late 1960s — now features a new sideboard, a cupboard, and a mirror.
The Quaderna mirror is inspired by the Measuring Mirror, a design tool used by the architects of Superstudio (1969-72) to study the effect of continuous and potentially infinite surfaces. This mirror is floor-standing and fastened to the wall.
The new sideboard is designed for the living area, and is ideal as a TV cabinet. The dimensions are 204x51x54cm, and it features internally adjustable shelves made of 10 mm tempered glass. The back panel features a cutout structure designed to accommodate cabling for all the equipment.
The Quaderna cupboard is essentially a service unit for the dining room. It features 2 hinged doors, internal black laminate plating, and adjustable internal shelves in 10 mm thick tempered plate glass.
Each piece of the Quaderna collection is the result of an industrial process, which also incorporates a craft-like approach due to the manual work involved in the final stages of production.
