The architect and designer Norman Cherner (1920-1987) is known for his eclectic creative approach to design: from graphics, glassware and lighting, to his pioneering work in prefabricated housing, Cherner has left an indelible mark in mid-nineteen century American design.
In 1999, Cherner’s two sons, Benjamin and Thomas, founded the Cherner Chair Company to bring back into production many of Norman Cherner's most popular designs, namely the world-famous Cherner Chair.
Benjamin Cherner, also a designer and architect, has been expanding the brand’s furniture collection with new creations of his own.
