Baxter Selene Low Cabinet

23/01/2019

Selene is a luxurious low cabinet designed by Israeli designer Hagit Pincovici in her first collaboration for Italian brand Baxter.

Imprinting a strong identity to her designs, the Selene Low Cabinet was presented as one of the brand’s novelties at the last Salone del Mobile di Milano.

This Selene sideboard was inspired by the work of masters of Italian architecture and Design like Carlo Scarpa or Gio Ponti, who were in their heyday in the 1950s and 60s.

Pincovici wanted to distance her designs from Baxter trademark material – leather – selecting materials like marble, brass, tempered glass, and lacquered MDF to work with. The unique feature of this sideboard is the circular marble insert which, together with its decorative elements, reflect the finish of the base.

Selene won the prestigious Wallpaper Magazine Design Award in the “Best reflective space” category.

You can find the Selene Low Cabinet at QuartoSala stores.
