Alessandro Sarfatti launched the new Astep lighting designs in Denmark, in 2014, following the footsteps of a renowned family of lighting designers.
Alessandro is the grandson of the most important lighting designer in the gallery of the outstanding designers of the twentieth century; Gino Sarfatti (1912-1985), the Italian master who studied to become an aeronautical engineer before going to Milan. He founded Arteluce in 1939 and left for posterity over 700 lighting designs.
Alessando Sarfatti underlines that all the collections of the new brand are 100% ‘made in Italy’.
ASTEP Tribute Collection is entirely dedicated to models designed by Sarfatti, with all the attributes of the classics validated by time itself. And the classics are classics because they resist with enormous vitality and brilliance, to all the fads and trends.
