Elio Martinelli took over the family business in 1950, founding the Martinelli Luce company, distinguished by its unique and innovative projects which have given birth to creations that have now become great icons of 20th century design.
To highlight just a few of its outstanding designs, we start with the Pipistrello, created by the famous architect Gae Aulenti in 1965, inspired by the image of the wings of a bat. A luminaire that continues to fascinate generation upon generation of designers and admirers.
The Cobra table model is another classic, designed by the founder of the brand in 1968, which became a symbol of Modernism in mid-twenty century design.
Both luminaires will be on display for the first time in QuartoSala stores.
